First of all, if you click on the factory reset, you don't have to panic, because the data on the Samsung Note 2/3/4/5 can still be found. As long as you use dr.fone toolkit - Android Data Recovery.
Step 1. Connect Your Samsung Note 2/3/4/5
Download dr.fone toolkit for Android on your computer and select Data Recovery among all the function. Then, use the USB cable to connect your Samsung Note 2/3/4/5 to the computer. You also need to open the USB debugging on your Samsung Note 2/3/4/5 to support the next steps.
If your Android os version is 4.2.2 or above, there will be a pop up message on your Samsung Note 2/3/4/5, tap on OK to allow USB debugging.
Step 2. Select file types to scan
When the program recognizes your Samsung Note 2/3/4/5, the main interface will display all the data types, you can select the data and scan them. By default, all data is selected. You can click on "Next" directly.
Step 3. Scan Samsung Note 2/3/4/5 to find the lost data
There are two scanning modes. You can read the description and select the "Standard Mode" or the "Advanced Mode". I recommend you to try "Standard Mode", which works faster. If it doesn't find the files you are looking for, you can then try "Advanced Mode". Next, click "Start" to analyze and scan your Samsung Note 2/3/4/5.
Note: There might be a Superuser authorization appearing on your device during the scan. If you get it, click "Allow" to continue. If not, just skip this step.
Step 4. Preview and recover deleted data
When the scan process is over, you can begin to preview the scanned files one by one. When you find a file you need to recover, check it. Finally, click "Recover" to save them all on your computer.
